A Relaxed At-Home Pet Shoot with Puffer, Kenzo & Winston.

When it comes to pet photography, there’s no place quite like home. That’s exactly where we captured this fun and heartfelt shoot with three very good boys: Puffer, Kenzo, and Winston.

Photographing dogs in their own space helps them feel comfortable, confident, and totally themselves. And that’s exactly what we want. Real moments. Honestly captured.

Why Photograph Pets at Home?

Home offers a familiar environment without the distractions or overwhelming new smells of an unfamiliar location. It’s where dogs feel safe and where their true personalities shine. Whether they’re stretched out on the couch, racing through the backyard, or sneaking in for a cuddle, the photos we take at home feel natural and full of character.

For Puffer, Kenzo, and Winston, this meant plenty of lounging, sniffing, tail wags, and the occasional attempt at posing. Special mention to Puffer, who tried very hard to smile for the camera.

Three Dogs. Three Big Personalities.

Each dog brought something unique to the session.

  • Puffer was curious, slightly awkward, and completely endearing. His “trying to look natural” face was a personal highlight.

  • Kenzo had a calm, wise energy. Always watching. Always regal.

  • Winston was pure joy. Playful, cheeky, and ready for action at all times.

Together, they made for a dynamic, loveable trio. Their bond was just as beautiful to capture as their individual quirks.

How I Work With Pets

As a Central Coast pet photographer, I keep sessions relaxed and flexible. We work around your dog’s mood and energy level. We take breaks when needed and always follow their lead. I bring treats (with your okay), move at their pace, and make space for genuine moments. No pressure. No posing required.

Whether it’s one pup or a whole pack, every session is tailored to suit the feel of your home and the unique personalities of your dogs.

Thinking About a Pet Session?

If you’ve ever thought, “I wish I had more photos of them while they’re still young, playful, or with us,” this is your sign. An at-home pet shoot is a beautiful way to honour your furry family and freeze a little of their magic in time.

Photographing Puffer, Kenzo, and Winston at home reminded me just how much love dogs bring to our everyday lives. And how worth capturing that connection really is.

If you're based on the Central Coast and want to capture your dog in a relaxed and meaningful way, I’d love to help. Let’s create something beautiful together. Maybe even a little cheeky too.
